YUB Board Order 2025-04
ATCO Electric Yukon (AEY) filed an application with the Yukon Utilities Board (the Board) requesting to use Rider R1, Temporary Rate Adjustment Rider, to collect from customers the shortfall in the Industrial Rider R deferral account. These rate changes may come into effect May 1, 2025 or June 1, 2025 depending on the Board’s approval and timeline.
AEY has determined that the Industrial Rider R Deferral balance is a shortfall due to YEC’s Industrial customers’ revenue actuals being less than forecast at the time of AEY’s 2023-2024 GRA. To collect this shortfall, AEY is proposing to increase Rider R1 by either 1.61% or 1.81%, depending on the implementation date of May 1, 2025 or June 1, 2025.
Here are the possible rate adjustments and rates to Rider R1 depending on the implementation date:
Implementation Date As of May 1, 2025 As of June 1, 2025
Rate Adjustment +1.61% +1.81%
Rate 0.46% 0.66%
NOTE: Rider R1 includes AEY’s 2023-2024 GRA true-up (-1.15%) plus the proposed Industrial Rider R deferral shortfall adjustment.
As of September 1, 2025, the component of Rider R1 related to the true-up from AEY’s 2023- 2024 GRA will be removed (-1.15%) and Rider R1 rate will reflect this change until December 31, 2025.
